Influencer Authenticity Check: Vet Any Creator Before You Pay Them (Free Claude Skill)

Every marketer has a version of this story: a creator with great numbers on paper turns out to have an audience full of bots, or comments that all read like they were written by the same template. By the time you find out, the invoice is already paid.

What it does

Influencer Authenticity Check takes whatever you already have on a creator, a handle, a follower count, recent post stats, and turns it into a structured scorecard:

• Engagement rate benchmarked against their tier and platform, not a generic number pulled from nowhere (what counts as a good rate actually depends on follower size)
• An audience read: comment quality, follower growth pattern, and whether the numbers move together the way a real audience's numbers should
• A fit and safety check: brand tone match, past competitor partnerships, posting consistency
• A six-criteria scorecard (audience alignment, topic relevance, expertise, engagement quality, brand fit, creative fit) drawn from how practitioners at companies like Storylane actually select creators, not follower count alone
• A clear go / review / pass call, with the reasoning spelled out

If you paste in several creators, it ranks them side by side and tells you which one to test first.

Every red flag prints as "worth verifying," never as an accusation. You get a benchmark, not a verdict. How to install

1. Download the ZIP.
2. In Claude, go to Settings > Customize > Skills.
3. Click the + button, then Create skill.
4. Upload the ZIP (it needs the skill folder itself at the root, not just the files inside it).
5. Toggle it on.

Next time you ask Claude to check if a creator is legit or paste in some stats to review, it uses the skill automatically. No need to reference it by name.
